There are a few things that we are updating internally that will insure the transmission functions at optimal performance to set the record. This will be done without compromising the rule book as it relates to transmissions.
HOT NEWS #12 (Jan 30, 10) We completed the performance overhaul to our 350 Turbo Transmission. Insuring that we kept the updates within the rules, the Transmission shifts and performs better than ever. A B&M shift kit was installed in the valve body and the clutch packs were set up tighter to insure firm consistant shifts. We feel we have more power to the rear wheel during testing. Now, we are ready to attempt to set the National Class Record!!!

I was talking to a track operator the other day and was having a good conversation about racing until he went down a road that was thoroughly despicable to me. We were talking about how the economic times we live in was taking its toll on the local tracks with low car counts. Without missing a beat or taking a breathe, he stated, "You shouldn't come to Speed's Dragstrip unless you can hit a .510 or .5 teen light." OK, we know that racers at Speed's Dragstrip are tough; However, they are no tougher to race than racers at other tracks that we have raced at in recent years. So, what was he really saying? Was he saying not to come to his track or just boasting about those few racers that race at his track "All The Time?" By experience, when you race at a track week after week for many years, you get to know the track and the tracks timing system by heart. No wonder good lights are being hit at that track. Bottom line is this.....before a track operator opens their mouth, they need to stop and think about what they are saying. To say, "Don't come to their track unless you can hit a .5 teen light" or better is basically saying not to come to their track. As a track operator, he must not want people to race at their facility. Poor choice of words to say the least. We were planning to compete at that race track this season, but have decided that they don't need us because they are consumed with their own core of racers. It's kinda like "protectionism." We will continue to go to the southern region tracks where we hit numerous .510 - .5 teens lights and are welcomed with southern hospitality. He can have his own core of racers!
Have you ever read an article that someone has written with questions to the "powers that be" and wondered why the person did not receive a response? Yes, there are times when "Taking The High Road" is better. However, when a racer is asking questions or even venting, does it not warrant a response? Just recently, a racer wrote a few paragraphs concerning what he felt was wrong with procedures during a race he was involved in. Instead of the track operator responding to the racer with an open mind stating track rules, no response was given. After reading those paragraphs, there was no doubts it was very plainly written. Furthermore, another racer responded to those paragraphs with a somewhat negative response towards the racer who just wrote down his feelings concerning the situation he went through at that particular track. Now, the paragraphs have been deleted. Now, there are questions that remain unanswered. Why was it determined that the paragraphs would be removed? Was it because the track did not want any negative publicity? The paragraphs were read by several onlookers before it was removed. So, the situation was noted by those readers. So, would it have been better for the track operator to step up and respond to this racer for all to read, stating rules, and procedures, for all to understand? What is thought of this racing facility now? There seems to be a demeanor to shove a problem under the rug instead of meeting that problem head on without delay? You can only shove a certain amount of dirt under a rug before it is very evident for all to see that a problem exists. This is just another example added to a long list of situations that are hindering car counts and racing facility success. The questions remain unanswered and a racer has formed an opinion that will forevermore be etched in his mind. A "No Response" speaks volumns to an awaiting audience.
This is a personal note to all that read this web site that live in the state of Indiana. In March of 2009, my Dad passed away. His Will and insurance beneficiaries are being contested in Superior Court in Martinsville, Indiana. Be it known, that your Wills and Wishes that you may THINK you have settled legally and is legitimate is NOT worth the paper and ink that it is written with. If you think that all is well with your estate, think again. My Dad's Will and Wishes are not only being pushed aside, his Wishes for his Grand-Children are also being kicked to the curb all in the name of Indiana Law. Personally speaking, it is very difficult to understand HOW a persons Last Will and Testament can be flushed down the TOILET all in the name of Law. The question is, "Is this a democracy?" I think not! So, my advice, as one that is going through this Legal NONSENSE, is to do whatever it takes to take care of your Family PRIOR to your passing or move to another state that does not violent your rights. No, I'm not kidding! Do it prior to your passing or YOU and YOUR family may not see anything OR may have to PAY someone else that may have some inappropriate agenda. Again, this is a Legal Law Suit that we are having to pay Lawyers $200 an hour to settle. IF you decide that this is just another story for the tabloids, think again. It COULD HAPPEN TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!! I hope you don't make the mistake by being complacent. The Choice is Yours!
